Old Focals named best eyewear in L.A. — again

922978_10152809286900137_951242376_nIn Los Angeles a good pair of sunglasses is almost as essential as a car or the latest smart phone.

There are plenty of places in Southern California where you can find name brand shades or frames from today’s hottest designers, but that’s part of what makes Old Focals so special — the unique collection of glasses.

Last month our collection was recognized by L.A. Magazine’s annual Best of L.A. awards as the Best Eyeglasses “For the Film Buff,” recognizing the appearance of our frames in movies such as Gangster Squad and Django Unchained — not to mention those featured in AMC’s Mad Men.

This is the second time L.A. Magazine has recognized Old Focals, the first coming in its 2008 award for best vintage eyewear.

“It’s always good to get recognized,” owner Russ Campbell said. “As a retail shop we don’t carry a lot of the mainstream stuff. What we do is conserve these classic frames so we can provide a product that you really can’t get anywhere else.”
