Jeremy Strong Wears Vintage Frames from Old Focals
To help recreate the historical accuracy of the film Selma directed by Ava DuVernay these vintage Baush & Lomb frames from the Old Focals Collection were worn by Jeremy Strong who played James Reeb
James Reeb was a Unitarian Universalist minister living in Boston when Martin Luther King, Jr. went to Selma. He was already a member of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference when he traveled to Selma to join King after the events of Bloody Sunday. On March 9, 1965, Reeb and two other men were attacked by three white men with clubs after eating at an integrated restaurant in Selma. Reeb died two days later, and was memorialized by both King and President Lyndon B. Johnson.
